New Yorkers love to use fashion as a medium for personal expression. We invite you to explore fun fabrics, styles, silhouettes and accessories; after all, this is Brooklyn and anything goes! The average temperature in Brooklyn in June is 70°F with a high of 76°F and a low of 64°F. Carroll Hall is entirely paved with stone and concrete, with a rocky uphill path to the treehouse.

We'll miss you! If you know you cannot attend, please RSVP ‘no’ or let us know as soon as possible.

Subways and buses are the best transit option in nearly every part of the city. Carroll Hall is easily accessible via the Morgan Ave L subway station. You can tap your credit card or phone to pay the fare ($2.90). Many subway stations are wheelchair accessible with elevators; the Morgan Ave L station has a short flight of stairs.
New York City has three airports: LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark. Depending on the airport, there are a variety of transit options. A car service typically costs around $50-$75 one way, but each airport also has its own public transit systems.
Please reach out with any questions, we are happy to help you plan your travel options!

Carroll Hall has both indoor and outdoor spaces. Our ceremony, dinner, and dancing will take place indoors in the air-conditioned warehouse. Cocktail hour and toasts will be outdoors in the paved garden. You can view photos of the spaces HERE.

We love our names and will be keeping them! Although we’ll be married, we’ll still be known as Jennie Maydew and Kyle Wong.

Pigeons are a part of our everyday life in Brooklyn. They are highly intelligent animals with observably unique personalities. We love noticing their interesting visual characteristics like feather color, pattern and iridescence. They also look adorable when they fluff up their feathers in the cold. We chose to include two pigeons to represent us and hope you will enjoy noticing the pigeons in New York.
The background of each side of the postcard are woodblock prints from the 19th century Japanese artist Ohara Koson. We love Japanese design, architecture and art; we also plan to travel to Japan for our honeymoon.
The botanical illustrations on the front of the postcard are native plants from both California and Colorado. The moon is a waning crescent, the same moon that will occur on June 20, 2025.
We selected a variety of vintage stamps that represent important events and places in our lives:
1948 California Centennial 3¢ | Kyle's birthplace
1951 Colorado Statehood 3¢ | Jennie's birthplace
1958 Mackinac Bridge 3¢ | A tribute to Jennie's mom's roots in Michigan
1964 New York World's Fair 5¢ | The city where Jennie and Kyle met and currently live
1987 North American Wildlife 22¢ | We chose a unique animal for each recipient
2006 Florida Wetlands Nature Series 39¢ | We got engaged during a kayaking trip in Florida
